LATE-BREAKING NEWS
The Ex-Factor: Ava (Tamara Braun) will do anything to get Steve (Nichols) back.
DAYS: AVA TARGETS STEVE — AND HOPE!
Abe presents Steve with Ava's police record, which prompts Steve to tell teh top cop that he thinks Ava had something to do with teh plane crash. "He does finally report it to Abe, but only with the agreement that Abe will keep it between them," explains Stephen Nichols (Steve).
Steve tells Abe that Ava is a woman from his ast who is irrational and dangerous and whose family is into all sorts of illegal dealings. "When Steve went by Patch during a period of memory loss, he got involved with Ava and her orgainized crime family," says the actor. And now she wants him back.
Steve asks Abe to keep an eye on his family, then leaves and heads to the pier with Kayla, where they reminisce about the past. A nervous Steve panic that Ava is nearby. Kayla asks why he's acting so jumpy, but Steve keeps mum. "The fact that Ava is untraceable makes Steve suspect that she is plotting something," notes Nichols.
And he's not wrong. In her room, Ava looks through photos of everyone who was on the plane and goes over her list of the passengers' names. Since she previously saw Hope hug Steve, she assumes that Hope is kayla and is married to her ex. Fortunately for Steve, AVa's father is controlling her an allows her very little freedom. She tries to sweet-talk her guards into helping her, but they blame Patch for her mental state and say no.
At the station, Steve works with Abe to try to find Ava. A suspicious Kayla arrives and asks what's going on. Steve is evasive, but akes a decision regarding the safety of his wife and daughter. "Ava is unbalanced and potentially dangerous," says Nichols. "So Steve hires guards for both Kayla and Stephanie."
But who's going to watch Hope?
