05/08/2008: I wanted to let you know that I know I haven't replaced the selected photo in the box below this one. I love the intimacy between Tamara and Stephen in their alter egos of Ava and Steve. Let me live in my fantasies for a while longer, then I'll change it. I've waited for this for a very long time and, well...what's the harm?

There are a few items Tamara Obscura is currently looking for. Any clips of Tamara's time on GENERAL HOSPITAL. What I'm looking for is HI QUALITY MPEG clips. The reason for the HQ MPEG clips is because I would like to get screencaptures from them. Lesser quality just end up with broken pixels and blurred caps. So, if anyone has any of these of Tamara's tenure from 02 May 2001 - 15 April 2005, please send them in a zip file to WANTED TAMARA BRAUN. If possible, could you please provide the date the clips you're sending were from. It would help in the archiving of them in the gallery.

Emmy Nominated Actress joins the cast of DAYS

Emmy nominated actress Tamara Braun will join the cast of DAYS beginning Friday, February 8, 2008. She is scheduled to portray a woman from Steve's past named Marnie, although there is still Internet speculation that she'll portray Sarah Horton, who was last seen in 1991.
Update: Soap Opera Digest Online has confirmed that Tamara's character is Ava, a woman from Steve's past.
Tamara is best known for her portrayal of the wildly popular character of Caroline "Carly" Benson-Roberts Corinthos on General Hospital, whom she played from 2001-2005. She took over the role from the immensely popular three-time Emmy winning actress Sarah Brown and eventually won over viewers and critics alike. She was nominated for a Daytime Emmy in the Outstanding Lead Actress category in 2004. To many fans' dismay, she chose to leave the show in 2005 in order to try her hand at other projects.
Tamara will appear in the motion picture Little Chenier: A Cajun Story, which was released in select theaters across the country on Friday, January 18, 2008. The story is about two brothers living in the bayou trying to make ends meet at their local bait shop. The two live a simple life until one of the brothers is accused of a crime and the other must protect his brother against all odds. Tamara portrays a character named Mary Louise Lebauve.
Tamara has made a number of guest appearances on other TV shows, including CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Ghost Whisperer, Without a Trace, and Cold Case.
I've watched Tamara on General Hospital and I can assure you that she is absolutely fantastic! She really nailed the complex role of Carly Corinthos and made it all her own. Additionally, she exuded natural chemistry with just about everyone whom she interacted with on GH, including Maurice Bernard (Sonny Corinthos), Steve Burton (Jason Morgon), and Ted King (ex-Luis/Lorenzo Alcazar). No matter who she interacts with on DAYS, I have no doubt that Tamara will shine and win viewers over. DAYS is very fortunate to have this lovely and talented actress on board.
