10/19/2009: Tamara returns to her recurring role of Renee Ellen on the TNT Show SAVING GRACE in the Summer of 2010.
There are a few items Tamara Obscura is currently looking for. Any clips of Tamara's time on GENERAL HOSPITAL. What I'm looking for is HI QUALITY MPEG clips. The reason for the HQ MPEG clips is because I would like to get screencaptures from them. Lesser quality just end up with broken pixels and blurred caps. So, if anyone has any of these of Tamara's tenure from 02 May 2001 - 15 April 2005, please send them in a zip file to WANTED TAMARA BRAUN. If possible, could you please provide the date the clips you're sending were from. It would help in the archiving of them in the gallery.

TAMARA OBSCURA || TAMARA IN SOAP OPERAS || GENERAL HOSPITAL [ 02 MAY 2001 — 15 APRIL 2005 ]
Tamara was about to give up acting when she received a call to go on an audition. This would be a career-changing opportunity for Tamara in that she would become a household name. Believing she would be the perfect recast for Carly should Sarah Brown leave, casting director wunderkid Mark Teschner had kept Tamara's name in the back of his mind and when the day came Sarah announced her departure in 2001, Teschner immediately called in Tamara. In what was thought to be impossible, Tamara was cast as Carly Corinthos, the wife of resident crime lord Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). After a rocky start and several rumours about her imminent firing, Tamara proved her worth and made the role her own. With subsequent pairings with hot GENERAL HOSPITAL hunks Ingo Rademacher (Jasper Jacks), Shawn Benson (Steven Lars Webber), and a short daliance with Chad Brannon (Zander Smith), Tamara was paired with Ted King (Luis/Lorenzo Alcazar) and once again performed the impossible...the notion of somone actually replacing Sonny in Carly's heart. Forging a sensual mix of the profound and the profane, Tamara and Ted created magic, embuing their characters with a deep understanding and a love that would last.... Unfortunately, Tamara left the part due in part to shoddy writing and lack of character growth. But through it all, Tamara proved her Carly was one to reckon with. And after two further recasts, fans still yearn for Tamara's return.
NOTE: In the below information, I'm including all and everything to do with Sarah Brown's Carly because her story impacted directly with how Tamara portrayed her Carly. I include all and everything to do with Carly's story up until Tamara's last airdate. I will refer to her as Carly Corinthos because that's who Tamara played. Anything after Tamara's final airdate will not be included because with Jennifer Bransford's version, most certainly with Laura Wright's, bore no resemblance to anything Tamara played out during her tenure. I do not include the marriage to Jax, nor the kidnapping of Spencer, nor the remarriage to Sonny in 2007. I also will not refer to Tamara's Carly as Carly Alcazar because Tamara did not play out that storyline.
