I just recently bought a new 40 inch large screen LCD television and have been making it an issue to revisit some of my favourite films in the larger format. One of the films I decided to watch was Tamara’s LITTLE CHENIER and may I say, it’s a masterpiece. It’s not on the grand scale as say Kubrick’s 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY, but it has the same elements in its ability to transform you to a place where as we all know, no longer survives. The film is beautifully shot and the acting is so understated and rich. Of course, Tamara shines as Marie-Louise LeBauve, a troubled woman torn between family honour and her heart for a man she truly loves. Tamara brings to Marie-Louise everything she can in terms of pain, love, devotion. She breaks my heart in this movie. Her scenes with the two men in Marie-Louise’s life encapsulate her as an actress. With Johnathon Schaech as Beaux Dupuis, Tamara shows her passion and heart as she loves with all her heart. With Jeremy Davidson as Carl LeBauve, Tamara shows her reserved side, her ability to say so much with so little movement and facial expression, everything emanating through her eyes. I think my only criticism about the film is with Carl LeBauve’s character. I hate him with a passion. Davidson is too good and giving us a true villian. He’s what I have called a malcontent. I think the end of the film is what would be classed as poetic justice. All in all, I love this movie. I’d put it up there with the likes of a film called SINNER with Nick Chinlund and SMOKE SIGNALS with Adam Beach, two very good films I recommend for the true film buff. I’m still workign on Tamara’s Taylor clips and caps. I want to get all of July done, so that’s what the hold up is. In the meantime, I have Tamara’s first ever film. This is from 1997 where Tamara played Terri’s Secretary in the film SOUL FOOD. Tamara’s only scene is with Vanessa L. Williams and a little boy. Blink and you’ll miss her. Hope you enjoy seeing Tamara’s first ever appearance in a film.

For those who were regulars at the SONY board, I finally found out what happened. Apparently their boards were hacked by the same people who hacked the Playstation Network. It may be weeks before their boards are back up and running again. Likely all our posts might be gone. But there you are.

I know that both media sites are down right now. I didn’t know anything was amiss until I came online yesterday to make updates to all my sites. I put in a service ticket to my host and finally found out what was going on. Apparently, they are doing maintenence on their servers and conveniently forgot to mention it to their clients. I hope things will be back up soon. I have updates to do on all my sites and would like to get them done today.

I know, “Late again, uh?” My bad. I have a really good excuse this time. About three weeks ago I went to my dentist and was told I had to have two sets of dental surgery done. I had the first half on Monday May 09, 2011 and the second, more complicated bit this past Monday. This resulted in being in pain for a good portion of the last two days. I was given some painkillers to help, but I really don’t like taking them so I did the next best thing…I slept through the pain. Things are still a bit touchy and I’m just starting to chew on that side. Nice easy baby food like boiled chicken and mashed potatoes. Yeah, real gummy stuff. Where I had the Novocane is still a bit sensitive and I’m hoping to be able to get back to some good crunchy stuff in the coming days. The other half of my angst was in the form of uploading problems that took half the night to solve. I was finally able to get the videos and screencaps uploaded and able to update the site.

I really want to say I’m loving Tamara as Taylor. I love the subtle nuances she’s brought in such a short amount of time. She truly has made this character her own. Thank you DAYS for bringing our girl back. And thank you to James Scott and Arianne Zuker for bringing it so Tamara has some meaty stuff to play off of. Oh, I’ve included a promo for the season finale of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” because I adore Christopher Meloni who plays Det. Elliot Stabler.
