If you don’t mind, I’d like to take this time to do a little back patting. On this day ten years ago TAMARA OBSCURA went online. We’ve come a very long way from our humble beginnings as a lonely, know-nothing webmaster. I had just spent five years on WEBTV teaching myself the very basics of HTML and site design. In fact the very first webhost I signed up for had a drag and drop editor with a “fill in this form” for the site to go live. I’ve learned so much since then and now ten years later I’m ten years older and ten plus sites richer…plus some fanlistings along the way. I took a capture from the Wayback Machine to see what we looked like back then, and posted below is that capture. I think we look a little decidedly different now. And I think my web skills have improved. I can even hand code now! A triumph of the will. I’m hoping that for as long as you’ll have me and Tamara keeps that magic coming, we’ll be here for the long haul. As I said do you mind if I pat myself on the back a little….. Ah hell, let’s have a back slapping time. I want to send out a personal thank you to Hurley for her generosity in handing over to me her hard work at what was EVE. Secondly I want to thank you, my visitors who have come here and continued to support me and the work I offer. My gratitude is beyond words. Most of all I want to thank the one person who made this all possible. And that person is the one and only Tamara Braun. It is my honour to keep this site up as a dedication to your gracious spirit and your immense talent, beauty and grace. It has been a pleasure getting to know you and to make this site for you.
