I wanted to let you know about something that might be happening on 14 April, 2014. I’m having a little trouble getting my webhosting fees together to renew my hosting for another year so TAMARA OBSCURA will be going dark on that date, or shortly thereafter. I won’t be able to get it back up for two weeks until I get paid. If you’d like to donate something to help me out please feel free to scroll down to the bottom of the page and hit the donate button in the sidebar in the “Site Info/Disclaimer & Donate” area. This is the first time I’ve had to ask for donations to keep us up, but I thought I’d throw out the bone. Thanks to anyone willing to help out.
Here finally are the screencaps and clip from Tamara’s brief return to GENERAL HOSPITAL as her iconic role of Carly Corinthos. I’ve included the flashback scenes from the episode in the screencaps for you. Didn’t she look luminous? I thought she was just so good in how she slipped effortlessly back into the Carly we’d all come to know and love. This makes me miss her all the more and really would love to see her back on either daytime or primetime in a more permanent capacity. I’m not mentioning names, but you guys know what I’m talking about. And again I’ll register my contempt for the powers that be at GENERAL HOSPITAL for the travesty at not including Jennifer Bransford to this supposed “Carly-Palooza”. Too often I’ve seen on message boards about this episode that Jennifer wasn’t Carly and nor should she have been included because she wasn’t attractive enough. I feel that is so disgusting and demeaning to say to any woman let alone Jennifer who I feel did as much with the part as she was allowed under Guza’s craptastical writing. I feel Jennifer more than Laura Wright embodied all the elements both Sarah Brown and Tamara infused Carly with for a continuation of the character. Those aforementioned powers that be failed to utilize Jennifer’s abilities to the fullest, instead pulled the same tired trick of having a woman go nuts over loving Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Shame on Bob Guza for reducing Carly to such a stereotype as well to Frank Valentini and Ron Carlivati for their disgusting tactics regarding Jennifer Bransford.
Now I’m including the clip of the episode from a Youtube link Tamara provided in a tweet. Why? Every single time I upload anything that is copyrighted no matter all the disclaimers I put on it, my account always seems to get yanked from Youtube and I have to sign back up. I’m not willing to have to put myself through that headache again. I’ve had two accounts pulled and I like the one I have. So due to that I’m going to include the full episode here. Tamara’s parts start at the 18:30 mark.

Hi guys. My apologies for not having been around, but I’ve had some health issues and my mom hasn’t been well. I wanted to let you know that I have Tamara’s episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL from April Fool’s Day for the GENERAL HOSPITAL 51st Anniversary. I’ll try to get that capped up and up sometime later today. I know I still haven’t gotten the media site or the soap site back up, but I’m working on it. I’ll try to have an alternative for viewing the clip here. Stay tuned.
Onto a shallow note, didn’t Tamara look amazing? It seems like she’s drawn some elixir or something. She positively glowed. Dare I say Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) looked happy to have her back? I have to still my heart though. Seeing her was both heartwarming and heartwrenching to know it was only a one off. Though during the live tweeting session, Tamara did say she had to “get back to the set.” Could that mean our girl is working on something? Here’s hoping it’s something a little more permanent. It is pilot season after all. Anyway good to see her back. Below is a preview pic. My only gripe about the episode was its shunning of the lovely Jennifer Bransford’s contribution to the character of Carly. I found that just a little insulting.
I know there hasn’t been much for you guys, but our girl has been very obscure. I do have a couple of events for you for the beginning of 2014. The first is one final event for 2013. The other is from January 2014. i’m glad to be bringing these to you…finally! Here’s hoping 2014 is a fruitful year for Tamara and we’re looking forward to seeing her more. Fingers crossed. The other bit of news I have for you is that I’ve renewed my domains of tamara-braun.com and tamarabraun.org for the coming year. So once again TAMARA OBSCURA will be around for anything Tamara Braun related. Now I know you’ve likely been having issues with the media sites in the main site as well as the soap site. I had to move hosting companies due to some server issues as well as space problems I had at the old one located in Japan. The new one is located in Toronto, Ontario and has given me unlimited space for all my media sites for all my other sites. The only problem is it would have cost me a lot for them to move the files from my old hosting company and move the files (lots) to the new one so I’ve had to do it all myself. I’m having many issues due to establishing database connections as well as script issues. Nothing is working and I’m in the process of trying to come up with a viable solution for all the media sites attached to my other websites such as my Keir Dullea Online as well as others I’ve created video sites for. The solution I’m thinking of is making one giant site with all included that might give me the chance to have everything in one place and the ability to introduce all my visitors to my other sites as well as this one to the various talents I’ve chosen to focus in on. I’d like some feedback on this issue, that is if you want to leave some. So while I get everything solved, please be patient. This solution might also help me to clean up some of the issues I had with the main Tamara media site as far as the sloppiness of it’s appearance and the adding of the videos. Again, let me know what you think. Would you be interested in seeing anyone else, or is your interest just Tamraa? For now here are the event images promised. Enjoy.

Just like the title says. Angie-Lindz who has run the fanlisting for a couple of years has generously allowed me to adopt the Official Tamara Braun Fanlisting. This was owned by Hurley for a time who passed it on to Angie-Lindz. I wrote her some time ago telling her if she were ever to want to pass it on, I’d love to have it. She wrote me last week and gave me some time to create the layout. It’s done and up and I’m hoping you consider joining. So far we have five members. Let’s show Tamara how many fans she has. There’s also a place for you to put your favourite role of hers in on the join form. The new fanlisting by the way is called SERENDIPITY and to a degree, it sort of is a way to describe Tamara’s life in terms of her career. Click the photo below to take you there.
