Finally is December 29th’s clip, short as it may be. Overall I thought Tamara was really good, though I’m getting a little tired of her lack of airtime. I’m hoping they start ramping up her story soon. And I’m going to say it, I’m so tired of Laura Wright and her aping. She acts like a perpetual six-year-old. Sorry but I’m so tired of seeing all the comments about “how great an actress she is….” Those who wanted Carly to not advance and be a woman instead of that six-year-old in a woman’s body, shame on you. Seeing Tamara putting on her glasses I couldn’t help but think of Carly doing this. Showing she’s maturing. Instead they’ve got her still scheming and making her “plaaaaaaans”. Sorry for the rip but I’ve had my share of having Tamara torn down in the role. Yep, still people saying she was “miscast”. Some saying she made Carly too refined. I’d like to know what show and character they were watching. All they had to do was look at Tamara from her role of Claire Dunning from THE PRETENDER episode Murder 101. Tamara can play devious. She can also play whacked out as we’ve seen of her as Ava Vitali from DAYS OF OUR LIVES. Just like the Joni Mitchell song, “Took away paradise, and put up a parking lot.” This is why we can’t have nice things. And threads praising Tamara’s performance are still being deleted.

Sorry for the lateness of this post, but with Christmas and having family over on the 26th I’m behind. Can I say that I’m loving Kim Nero? I was going to say this before, but didn’t know how to put it and I thought saying it before Christmas was the wrong time. I can absolutely say that as long as they do right by Tamara, I’m glad she’s not playing Carly anymore. The reason for that is simple: I think Carly as a character is ruined. She was ruined by Charles Pratt Jr. and Bob Guza after Tamara left with the recast of Laura Wright and her “taking the character back to the original” stupidity she spewed. Whatever growth, humanity, humility and grace Tamara infused the character with has been watered down and or demolished by Guza, Carlivati and whoever else wrote for the character and by the subpar acting by Wright who more or less fulfilled the prophecy left by that poster on the now defunct IMDB message boards. Gone is the growth and development Tamara infused Carly with. On a recent post on SoapCentral, someone had this to say:

When Carly first came to the show I didn’t much like the character, but I could listen to SJB speak all day. She had a gentle accent and her voice was very soothing. I could most believe that she grew up in Florida. Then TB joined. I finally started to love the character, and to this day, cried when she decided to tell Sonny the truth that Alexis was pregnant with his child, although she knew that he would leave her for having kept the secret. TB’s Carly was a better person. She learned and grew. When JB joined, I didn’t want to like a replacement Carly because TB had my heart, but I liked her performance. She was a good actress. I just didn’t enjoy depressed crying Carly very much. I was used to a Carly with her head up. Then she was recast with LW. Once again, there were great performances, but the character was written to have forgotten every lesson that she ever learned. She was back down in the gutter snarling and shouting. I never liked the Carly character again. I’d enjoyed the more grown up Carly that was written for TB and this snarling guttersnipe just rubbed me the wrong way. All these years later, I still feel that she is more animalistic than was written for TB’s Carly and I miss that.

I agree. She even used my word for both Sarah Brown’s and Laura Wright’s versions: Guttersnipe. An unevolved being with little of no manners or decorum. However, for me now I’m glad Tamara is playing Kim. She can do what she likes with this character and she doesn’t need to recreate mannerisms from a former actress. She had me in the scenes with Oscar (Garren Stitt) at their home. And my gosh I love they gave her an apartment. Looks snazzy.

As some of you likely know I’ve finally updated Tamara’s GENERAL HOSPITAL episodes I missed while my computer was sick. It’s all fixed now, in fact it’s practically been rebuilt so it’s a brand new machine. I had to reload everything on it including my capping and clipping programs, plus my Photoshop for creating the graphics for the video and main sections. All episodes are now caught up as well as the caps in the gallery. I’m going to be posting something after Christmas I had wanted to say before my computer went on the fritz. For now I want to wish all of Tamara’s fans the Merriest of Christmases and hope your holiday is full of family, friends and happiness. Please remember if you’re going to be drinking please do not drive. Make sure you have a designated driver or someone to come and get you. We want you safe and secure.

Not much for you today. I’m just getting back up to speed on things including reloading my computer after its unfortunate melt-down. It’s pretty much a new machine since they had to replace almost everything. So it’s basically been rebuilt. It’s running smoother than it has in ages. I’m just in the process of getting all my programs reinstalled that I need in order to cap, clip and edit. I’m hoping to have all Tamara’s GENERAL HOSPITAL work up hopefully by Sunday. Given Monday is Christmas I’ve got most of my shopping done and only a few gifts to wrap, so I’m hoping to work on clips and such Saturday, Keep an eye out. As for this post, I have thanks to a good friend Jasper who has a wonderful tribute site to the late actor Anton Yelchin, I have four stills from Tamara’s telefilm STALKED BY MY EX where she played the part of Chloe. I wasn’t able to catch it, but I’m hoping to soon. If I’m not online before Monday, here’s wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas. Remember if you’re going to be driving either take a taxi or use a designated driver.

This is a reminder to let you know that Tamara’s Lifetime movie STALKED BY MY EX is airing this Friday 15 December, 2017 at 8:00 PM on any Lifetime channel. I’m not sure if it’s online but please make sure you find it. Tamara looks like she’s going to be amazing in it.

Here are today’s clip and screencaps from Tamara’s episode. I gotta admit I’m still having a hard time buying her as Kim when all the time I see her I want her so much to be Carly. My main issue with this is that she should be playing Carly. I am also having a hard time deciding on whether to write an opinion/commentary piece on why I feel this is so wrong. The reason for the conflict is whether I might offend some of Tamara’s fans for what I might say. Or if I might offend Tamara for what I would have to say. So this is my conundrum. I know for the last few bits I’ve been saying I’ll have something more to say on it, but I’m truly torn as to whether to state my peace or let it go. Comments welcome.

Sorry for the delay but I had a doctor’s appointment yesterday and was very tired when I got home. I had to clip up the episode twice because the quality of the first clip wasn’t what I want for the site. The second one is so much better. Hope you agree. I’m preparing a commentary I hope to post sometime later tonight or tomorrow. I have some more things to say on this episode and things in “general”.

Early bird catches the worm? Told you I’d have the clip and caps up early. Don’t I always deliver? Don’t answer that. So when do we finally call Tamara’s character Carly? She adopted the infamous Carly Hand-on-Hip stance today. All the while I was watching I was still thinking of her as Carly. Seeing her with Rebecca Herbst as Liz I’m still reminded very much of The Panic Room from 2003. I’m also wondering if and when Tamara’s story finally picks up. Within two weeks of her original premiere as Carly from 2001, she was in the thick of things. Here we are six appearances in, about two weeks in and we’ve pretty much gotten nothing. Tamara has not disappointed but this story line sure is going nowhere. And I still see Tamara as Carly.
