Here rather late is today’s/yesterday’s episode of DAYS OF OUR LIVES. So far so “good”? At least they don’t have Ava acting like a nutter like they did the last time around. I can hardly wait for this storyline to get going. I want to see what’s going to happen with Ava and Tripp (Lucas Adams) and Steve (Stephen Nichols). Not exactly sure where this is heading with Kristin (Stacy Haiduk) but we’ll soon see. Video quality still sucks. I had to run the featured image through Photoshop to get it right. I wish I could run the video clip through the same program, but I can’t. Also a change to the featured images from here on. I’ve decided to stop putting the date and name on the image. I don’t do it on my other sites, or at least with the rare exception. I did have a PSD of the file, but that’s on the harddrive that fried about two years ago so I’m S.O.L.

Two days into her return, and, already, THIS is the Ava Vitali we should have gotten in 2015. This is proof that Ron Carlivati has a greater grasp on the role than Josh Griffith, Dena Higley and Beth Millstein had. I knew if he wrote her in the vein of Kristen DiMera it would work out, but, never did I expect for Ava and Kristen to work so well together, despite the reform Kristen has had in recent years.
As for the video quality, I do not believe it has anything to do with your capturing; it has to do with the cameras used at Days of Our Lives and their post-production team.

Completely agree on everything. THIS is Ava Vitali. The only thing that still bothers me is they’ve painted her with this “rape” monikker. It’s like Ben with being a serial killer with a “heart of gold” crap. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Higley’s insistence of having Steve and Ava get under the covers was misguided. The way they did it when Steve had so many other options was just ridiculous. I still have a high degree of displeasure with how they’ve written her back in this time. I wanted to see how she survived Joey’s smothering. So far her being in the park where she can clearly be seen by anyone, having the apartment close to Titan, it makes no sense for someone who should be still “under wraps” as it were. I really do wish her last go around 2015-2016 was better. Having her go full on psycho was not a good fit, but we’ll see how this works out.
As for the video quality, no it’s my recording device. I had another version of it before and the clips I did when Tamara was on GH as Kim were infinitely better. Same thing with her last go around as Ava. The colours were richer and more natural. This time around the colours suck and too much green. That’s the fault of the device, not the fault of DOOL. Thanks for giving me the benefit of the doubt though. LOL!!!!

Hate to say it, but I genuinely do not believe it is completely your recording device. I’ve made comparisons from , which show how the quality of production has decreased in the past ten years.

Granted, it has improved in recent years, but the dark neutral green hues still exist as of November 2020. It is because Corday Productions uses 4K lights (installed in 2016), however, use standard high-defintion cameras, and their post-production team are far too lazy to go into the episodes and fix this. I went ahead, via Photoshop, to fix this issue:

Your recorder [might] be enhancing the issues, but, they have existed for quite some time. And it is laughable, as their behind-the-scenes content for the DOOL App look much more rich and clear, so it baffles me that they cannot employ the same filming techniques for the actual serial.

I really wish I could agree with you on the colours, but I know from my past work this new recorder sucks. If you look at the caps I did from Tamara’s last go around as Ava and as Kim on GH, you can clearly see the difference. In order for me to get any kind of good colour I have to play around with the controls on the clip and that just messes things up worse. I have to run the featured image on posts through Photoshop for them to not come out “greasy”. I do know it’s the device. I’m thinking of downloading another version of the program and hoping I can use my same activation key.
