Tamara is joining the CBS soap opera THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS. The word is she will be playing the part of Sienna Bacall. For some reason I’m seeing the last name as McCall, the character played by Tamara’s DAYS co-star, Stephen Nichols (Steven Johnson), Tucker McCall. I’ll try to do some regular posting, but that will depend on my schedule as I’m embarking on writing my first novel that takes place in Imperial Russia. That is a huge undertaking. Keep an eye on this space.
Tamara Braun Is Joining The Young and the Restless: Find Out Who the Soap Legend Is Playing (Exclusive)
The soap opera star is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner for her roles on ‘Days of Our Lives’ and ‘General Hospital’
Tamara Braun is adding another soap opera role to her already impressive résumé.
PEOPLE can exclusively announce that the two-time Daytime Emmy Award-winning actress, 54, is joining The Young and the Restless.
She will be playing the role of Sienna Bacall, who is described as someone having “personal connections to several characters” in Genoa City. Braun will begin taping for The Young and the Restless next week, with her onscreen debut coming this fall.
Braun is no stranger to soap opera fans, having already appeared on the other three major shows.
The actress’ soap journey began in 2001 when she joined the cast of General Hospital as Carly Corinthos.
Braun went on to play the character until 2005, only returning for a single episode in 2014 to celebrate General Hospital’s 51st anniversary alongside Sarah Brown, who played Carly before her, and Laura Wright, who took over the role after her.
From 2017 to 2019, she would play the role of Dr. Kim Nero on General Hospital.
Braun also played Days of Our Lives character Ava Vitali on and off between 2008 and 2025.
From 2008 to 2009, she played Reese Williams on All My Children.
Braun has won two Daytime Emmys throughout her career.
In 2009, she won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal of Ava Vitali on Days of Our Lives.
Just over a decade later, in 2020, she won the same category for her role as Dr. Kim Nero on General Hospital.
Braun, who also received three other Emmy nominations over the years, is one of only a handful of actresses to win the Emmy twice in this category.
