Tamara – 08/08/2023 “Days of our Lives” HD Screencaps & Media

The first of Tamara’s return to DAYS OF OUR LIVES in her Emmy winning role of AVA VITALI. I love Tamara’s scenes so far with her old GENERAL HOSPITAL partner in crime, Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) here playing the part of Harris Michales. I don’t know whether it’s because of their comfort with each other given their history on GH as Carly and Jason, but the chemistry is off the charts. Welcome back Tamara, and nice to see you again Steve.

So going forward: I know I slacked off during Tamara’s last run as Ava. For me it was the fact they were pigeon-holing her into just “Crazy Ava,” and not actually writing for her. I still remember where she was in August of 2008 when Ava left Salem, and I hate it when they don’t write a consistent character. Also making her responsible for beloved characters’ deaths is not something I really want to see. I know it’s part and parcel of the soap genre, but when it’s a deliberate thing to deliberately write her into a corner, I check out. Also the device I used to capture stopped working and my ability to get daily episodes disappeared. I have a new way of recording now, and screencapping is a bit easier now. As long as Tamara’s story is good and it doesn’t become overwhelming again, I will be sticking with it. Also to note, screencaps are now in ultra hd, that means the clip is also in UHD. So that’s a plus.

Now onto the clips: I know the media section is not displaying or working right. I’m in the process of investigating why. Until that time instead of posting acreencaps from each episode with a link to the video, I’ll just be posting the video…for now. I will let you know when the media section is fixed and you can begin watching videos again. My apologies for the inconvenience.

Tamara is once again on her way back to DAYS OF OUR LIVES as Ava Vitali. The scans I have are from the recent edition of Soap Opera Digest. I will try to screencap her episodes, and make clips.

Rest In Peace Jackie Zeman

Rest In Peace Jackie Zeman

I just found out that Jacklyn Zeman, Bobbie Spencer on GENERAL HOSPITAL, has died. This is so shocking as she was still so young. I remember first seeing her back in the 70s as Lana McLaine on One Life to Live. After she left OLTL, she showed up on GENERAL HOSPITAL as Nurse Bobbie Spencer. Later on her older brother, Luke (Anthony Geary), came to town and caused quite a lot of trouble for Bobbie, or his “Barbara Jean.” Throughout my love-hate-love for GENERAL HOSPITAL due in most part to the storylines happening at the time, Jackie never disappointed with stellar performances. Whether it was the domestic violence story with D. L. Brock (David Grogh), her love for Noah Drake (Rick Springfield), or Bobbie’s brief flirtation with Stefan Cassadine (Stephen Nichols), she was always a joy to watch. I think though where I really fell in love with her was when Tamara came to the show as her daughter, Carly. I loved how Tamara and Jackie formed a beautiful mother/daughter team. The love the two had for each other was palpable. You could actually believe they were what they were playing. During most of Carly’s dramas with Sonny (Maurice Benard), Lorenzo Alcazar (Ted King), or with the discovery of Carly’s father, John Durant (Corben Bersen), Jackie and Tamara were to me, not really acting. They were mother and daughter. Their scenes in 2005 after the “death” of Michael (Dylan Cash) where some of the best scenes. Two mothers dealing with the deaths of children, Bobbie having lost her beloved BJ (Brighton Hertford), and Carly dealing with the kidnapping and subsequent murder of Michael, I was glued to the screen watching these two women play out intimate scenes making me sob like a baby.

When Tamara left GENERAL HOSPITAL in 2005, I missed their scenes together. I quit watching at that time and thought I’d never go back. However, Tamara returned in 2017 to play the part of Dr. Kim Nero. Seeing them in scenes together hurt, because I wanted Carly and Bobbie to have some of their talks together. I wanted to see the real Carly with her “Momma.” After Tamara left again in 2019 to resume her role as Ava Vitali on DAYS OF OUR LIVES, I kept hoping somehow someway Tamara would return and would play Carly again. That we would see Carly and Bobbie together again and Tamara and Jackie doing what they always did: Move me beyond tears with their eloquence and beautiful moments. I always hoped Tamara would resume playing Carly. Now with Jackie gone we, I. won’t have that chance. This saddens me. This hurts.

On behalf of TAMARA BRAUN ONLINE, I want to send my condolences to Jackie’s family, friends, colleagues, and fellow GH fans who I know will be mourning this loss. Goodbye Jackie. You will be missed and loved. Thank you for all you gave us over the years. The soap gods are fuller for taking you into their embrace. xx

“Kombucha Cure” to Get Second Season

Tamara’s streaming show KOMBUCHA CURE has been greenlit to get a second season. According to the director, Cecilia Choi, in a recent interview, she gives some enlightenment on what season two will encompass. I have to say the show is really good. It takes the punch out of the healthcare insurance industry who puts money over and above patients and their health. You can watch season one on KOMBUCHA CURE ON POPSTAR TV. Here’s what Choi has to say on what will happen in season two. To read the entire article, please click on the source link.

We hear that a season two is confirmed! Can you tease what fans can expect from the second season?

Choi: “We continue to follow the Kombucha Cure team as they flounder through trying to help other communities that have been left behind by the bigger healthcare systems. The stakes are higher as their success in helping these smaller communities gains national attention.”

“Days of our Lives” Cancelled on NBC to Move to Peacock

“Days of our Lives” Cancelled on NBC to Move to Peacock

According to many sources, DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been cancelled on NBC a network it’s called home since its inception in 1965. It will be moving to the Peacock streaming platform come September 12, 2022. Not sure how this affects the actors, but for sure it’ll affect many of the viewers. More below.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Moving to Peacock From NBC

The soap opera is the longest-running entertainment series the broadcast network has ever aired.

Days of Our Lives, the longest-running entertainment series the network has ever aired, will leave the network in September. Its new home will be on NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming platform, beginning Sept. 12.

NBC will fill the daytime spot vacated by Days with NBC News Daily, an hour-long show anchored by Kate Snow, Aaron Gilchrist, Vicky Nguyen and Morgan Radford. Affiliates will also have the option to add local news to the hour.

“This programming shift benefits both Peacock and NBC and is reflective of our broader strategy to utilize our portfolio to maximize reach and strengthen engagement with viewers,” said NBCUniversal Television and Streaming chairman Mark Lazarus in a statement. “With a large percentage of the Days of Our Lives audience already watching digitally, this move enables us to build the show’s loyal fanbase on streaming while simultaneously bolstering the network daytime offering with an urgent, live programming opportunity for partners and consumers.”

Library episodes of Days of Our Lives stream on Peacock, and the service has also housed two miniseries (subtitled Beyond Salem) in the past year.

The soap opera, produced by Corday Productions in association with Sony Pictures Television, is in the middle of a two-season order that will take it through the 2022-23 season. The coming season will be its 58th, making it the second longest-running daytime drama in American TV history behind ABC’s General Hospital. Days will pass Guiding Light, which also ran 57 seasons, in the fall.

Days was the least watched of the four daytime dramas on the broadcast network last season, averaging about 1.7 million viewers per day on NBC (an average that does not include any streaming lift). That’s about half of what the top soap, CBS’ The Young and the Restless (3.47 million), draws on a daily basis. Converting a portion of those viewers to Peacock subscribers (or keeping the business of those who already are) would be a boost for the streamer, whose paid subscriber numbers stayed flat at 13 million (along with 28 million active accounts) in the second quarter.

Ken Corday executive produces Days of Our Lives, and Albert Alarr is co-exec producer. Ron Carlivati serves as head writer.
