My apologies for not updating over the weekend. I had the post all written then for some stupid inexplicable reason, I deleted it. Dumb I know….. I’m also still feeling under the weather. This intestinal bug is just hanging on for dear life and making my life a misery. But as they say, onwards and upwards. Can I say how much I’ve loved Tamara in the last couple of days. I adored how she told Erica off. Her “ten husbands” comment had me on the floor giggling with glee. And the way Zach (Thorsten Kaye) stood up for Reese to Erica. Priceless! And today with Reese’s comment about Bianca and hotel room beds is like “Princess and the pea”. Good all around. I’m a happy camper. I’d have to say though, Tamara had me in tears. Her scenes as Reese with Gabby were just heartbreaking. And I truly have to say that Bianca was being a bit of a snoot today accusing Reese of wanting to be with Zach. I could have smacked her! I do understand Bianca’s been let down by her past relationships, but Reese isn’t one of those. She’s here to stay and that’s what makes me sad for someone like Bianca. She doesn’t see the Golden Reese (a play on the golden fleece) she has. I really do wish they’d played out Reese’s returning to Paris. To make Bianca have to do some fast apologizing. With the return of Kendall (Alicia Minshew) due this week and according to the preview (you’ll find it in the sidebar), it looks like it’s going to be a big week for the Kane/Montgomery/Slater family so any type of Reese/Bianca angst is going to take a backseat. There was a very nice letter in last week’s Soap Opera Weekly about Tamara and Eden. I’ll inlude here:PUBLIC OPINIONBravo, AMC!I am writing about hte recent storyline involving Reese and Bianca on All My Children. I am a new fan of AMC, having come aboard as a lifetime As the World Turns fan. I started watching AMC when all of my friends kept telling me a groundbreaking story was about to start, and I haven’t been able to stop watching since. I am so addicted! Not only do I absolutely love Reese and Bianca and their story, but several other storylines, as well. I want to see much more of Reese and Bianca, and watch them in a successful relationship. So far, the writers have done a brilliant and sensitive job portraying a same-sex relationship, and I can’t say enough about the actresses. Please keep Tamara Braun and Eden Riegel on the show!Tammy, via e-mailI’ll be including the link to Friday’s screencaps and media in this posting. Hello and welcome to 2009. So sorry for the lack of updates but I’ve been getting over an intestinal bug that’s kind of kept me down since before New Years. Though I’ve been trying to get the screencaps done and the clips up at OBSCURE MEDIA, that’s about all I’ve been doing. I’m hoping you had a restful holiday season and are ready for 2009. I know I am.Okay, not too much to talk about this time around. I’m so far behind that I think it would be hard to really encapsulate what’s gone on since I last updated. I think I’ll just say that I’m so glad that Zach (Thorsten Kaye) is sticking up for Reese and telling Erica (Susan Lucci) to get her nose out of Reese and Bianca’s business. I will also say that I’m so glad the writers have finally nailed down on screen what the exact nature of Reese and Zach’s relationship is. No more speculation about Reese wanting to jump Zach’s bones or Zach wanting to make out with Reese. I think the word Tamara used is platonic. Couldn’t have said it better myself. Now of course according to the previews for this week (can be found in the sidebar under “Featured Video”) there’s more speculation that Reese and Zach will ‘have it on’. All I can say is OI! Enough with the teasing. We know it’s not ever gonna happen. Tons of stuff for you in this posting. So without further adieu, I’ll get to it. One note though, I’m not going to be including the usual screencaps from the individual days. Considering how far I’m behind in posting, it’ll take up too much space. So here’s the update…. Enjoy!01/06/2009
I’ve just set up the newly minted 2009 press section. I’ve also added new articles and some scans to the gallery. One note, like before, if the article doesn’t have a direct mention of Tamara in terms of her name, it won’t be included in the press section, rather, it will be included in the gallery as a scan since it does mention Reese. Tamara had a lovely quote about Reese’s love for Bianca, which I think, will be heartening to Bianca’s fans in light of all the heartbreak Bianca has found with her previous relationships:Is Reese truly committed to Bianca (Eden Riegel)? Tamara Braun assures: “She is completely and totally in love with Bianca and wants her and no one else. She wants to marry Bianca with all her heart.” There were also some additions to OBSCURE MEDIA, but I think I’ll just let those speak for themselves. There’s a lot here for you to absorb so I’ll let you go over to OBSCURE MEDIA and peruse.
AKA: TAMARA OBSCURA, THE OMNIBUS EDITIONFirst off, I really need to apologize for not getting these up yesterday. I went Christmas shopping and also took some personal time for myself. I also was able to obtain some new additions to the press section for you. So please understand. What to say about today. I am thrilled with the calibre of acting Tamara is getting to do. Finally, we got some gravitas to Reese’s character. I was beginning to think this was another one of those Dena Higley situations where the head writer was only interested in Tamara’s character only when it meant something to one of the what could be called ‘main’ characters. Frank Runyeon was just incredible. I really got the feeling of that loss on both Reese and Forrest’s sides, though naturally I side with Reese. Once again Tamara got me crying. What is it about that women that when she brings on the waterworks, my emotional barometer goes up? I also thought her scenes with Eden as Bianca were in proper, though I’m not going to want to ‘be there’ when the shoe drops about what she knew about Kendall’s (Alicia Minshew) condition. Though in my opinion, that should fall solely on Zach (Thorsten Kaye). He’s the one who’s sworn Reese to secrecy. Of course, this is my opinion only.
