I don’t know about anyone else, but I can hardly wait to see Tamara on the red carpet tomorrow night. I have my fingers, toes, eyes and tongue crossed for her. I’ve even asked my partner and my mom and my mom’s cat to cross whatever they have for our girl. I’d like any of Tamara’s fans who stop by to post a good luck message to her. Anything as long as it’s positive. I’ll be on tomorrow with as up-to-date information as I can. I’ll even try to have some hot off the presses photos of Tamara and her dress. Next: I’ve been doing a lot of cleaning up of the press section. I’m making it sleeker to go with the new layout. I’ve also added new headers to the individual pages. I hope to add more new articles later on tonight. Lastly, I have been trying to get Tamara’s soap opera work on DAYS OF OUR LIVES and ALL MY CHILDREN up-to-date. I’ve got the raw clips on several external devices, so it’s been difficult getting things done. I’m also trying to get the other sections of this site completed. Please bear with me. I know what you’re saying, “She’s gone and changed the layout….AGAIN!” Thing is, this is the way I’ve always wanted TAMARA OBSCURA and OBSCURE MEDIA to look. Crisp and elegant as befitting Tamara’s style. I thought the green tones were a little overpowering. I wanted something that made all three elements of this site as a more cohesive element. I hope you like it, I know I do. It’s also a celebration of sorts at OBSCURE MEDIA. I have uploaded the 100th video and thought I’d post it here on the homepage to let you see what it is. I put together a special of the New Year’s episode from 2002, the black and white flashback to the 1920s where Tamara played the Young Catherine to Gloria Stuart’s (“TITANIC”) older version in what I’m calling SPEAKEASY OF FATE. It’s the one where Carly was setting up The Cellar with Ric in the basement of Kelly’s. Anyways, I won’t give anything more away for those who haven’t seen it. I hope you enjoy.
As you can tell, I’ve done a site update…or overhaul as the case may be. I know the image of Tamara is from 2004 during her Carly years, but hey, it’s Tamara! I hope you enjoy the new design and the new doodads I’ve added. I’ve still got a lot to replace from the other template, but I’ll be working on that throughout the weekend. I also have some new things to add to the gallery and OBSCURE MEDIA and I’ll be back with those likely Sunday at the latest. I’ve also updated the Featured Video for you. I just wanted to drop a little note to let you know that the coding issues are almost fixed. Happy news….yes? Not so fast. Seems my brand spanking new computer has developed a little glitch and has to go back to the shop to have a hardware issue fixed. After this posting, I’ll be packing it back up and bidding a tearful farewell for about 4-7 days (the agonizing period of time I’ll be parted from him). So until then, there will be no real updates or additions…. I know, like there’ve been any for a while! Yeah, I got the evil eyes burning through cyberspace. but I got your numbers…. So until baby comes home, I’ll either be in denile, withdrawal, or an institution of my partner’s choosing. (Think Alice Cooper’s From the Inside album and the song “The Quiet Room” …. The Quiet Room/Is sterilized and white). I’ll be checking in periodically to my email account to see if there’s anything I should see to through my partner’s computer. HEALTH UPDATE: I’m feeling much better than I did last week. I was on some pretty powerful pain killers and they really decked me out for a time. I had to get off of them because they were really playing with my gastronomy. I’m on moderate things like Advil and getting considerably more sleep. It appears I have a pinched nerve in my neck, but for me, it’s a pain in the you-know-where. While the other will always be constant, I’m more concerned with the nerve. SITE UPDATE: Talk about misery loving company. My beloved four year-old Dell Inspiron laptop is dying. I’ve managed to get all my files off of it and they’re on external storage. I have a new Dell Studio 17 on order and will arrive late next week along with a lot of new toys for me to play with during my convalescence. I have all episodes capped up but not clipped to add to OBSCURE MEDIA . I won’t be able to do that until I get the new computer. The Inspiron just won’t crank out the finished file without consternation. I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow and will be home by the afternoon, in enough time to see ALL MY CHILDREN I hope to have all the relevent material up later on tomorrow night. I have about three or four articles to type up to add to the press section, and with the pain, it takes me a little longer. I have some HIRES images from Tamara’s latest outings and some HIRES stills from AMC. So bear with me as I’m begging time from my partner to use her computer. Hi there guys. I just wanted to give you an update on what’s going on with me and the site. My deepest apologies for no updates over the past while, but I’ve been really sick. I’ve got a lot of stuff for you when I get back up to speed including screencaps, clips for OBSCURE MEDIA, personal appearances, press inclusions, etc. Kitchen sink if you like. But I’ve been battling a resurgence of Fibromyaglia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, something I’ve had off and on since 1986. It just came back in a really big way plus I have no idea what I did to it, but somehow, I compressed a disc in my neck that has lead to really bad debilitating pain in my shoulder and left arm. For the most part, I’ve been on really elephant gun-like pain killers that have more or less knocked me out. I’m going for a CT scan tomorrow that should nail it down as to what is going on in there. I’m going to be working on getting the updates ready throughout tonight. I’ll see what I have for you, if not in a small way for tomorrow morning. Anyways, I’m sorry for the lack of updates.
