BREAKING NEWS: Speculation Tamara is Joining Y&R

I’m just getting this in through various sources as well as news feeds. According to what I’ve received Tamara will be joining THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS in a contract role either as a new character named Rosanna Tyler who would be sharing her first scenes with Billy (Billy Miller), or as the recast of Heather Williams formerly played by Tamara’s on-screen wife, Eden Riegel (Bianca, AMC). Don’t know what to believe but as things break I’ll be posting. Personally if she is joining the show I’d kill for her to be a former flame of Tucker McCall’s played by Tamara’s DAYS OF OUR LIVES love interest Stephen Nichols. I’m really not too sure how reliable this news is because it’s saying that Tamara’s first airdate will be the second week in November. Y&R tapes about a month in advance and so far with all the cost cutting I’m not sure they can afford Tamara on the budget. Add to that the fact that the new Executive Producer is Jill Farren Phelps, yep…that JFP, not sure how well that’s going to go in terms of Tamara joining the show. Considering that JFP’s cost cutting has included getting rid of Genie Francis, Debbi Morgan and Marcy Rylan. If true this will make it all three networks in which Tamara has appeared in the soap opera format.

About all the speculation on Tamara’s GH return. Garin Wolf has ended some speculation. He stated that the rumoured Woman or Lady in White is NOT Tamara. So I guess with NuKate already cast in Kelly Sullivan and the spec about the aforementioned Woman in White being put to rest, looks like the only rumour not being quashed is the one where Tamara reclaims her role as Carly. My feeling here is that the announcment will come after Labour Day. Why? I think this delay in the announcing Tamara’s definite return has to do with her continuing to air as Taylor on DOOL.

Update on the screencaps and clips: I’m still in the process of getting things caught up. I’m currently building another site for another actor I love and I want to finish that before I get what I do have done up. That will hopefully be the weekend. I’ll keep you posted.

There is a post over at the SoapCentral board, a poll actually, asking who you would like to see Tamara return to GENERAL HOSPITAL as. So far Carly is winning, though the anti-Tamara forces are winning…slightly. It also seems any positive thread about Tamara is deleted in support to LW and her verison of Carly. If you have an account there, please go to the link I’ll supply and vote for our girl for as long as the post remains up. If you want to post something positive about Tamara, please do. Be courteous and explain why Tamara is needed back on the show. It can only help.

ETA: 08/10/2011 – Well, it appears the thread was again deleted. As I said anything in any way positive toward Tamara on SoapCentral seems to find itself deleted. Bank on it, if another appears, it too will be deleted.

According to actor Derk Cheetwood (Max on GENERAL HOSPITAL) who has a friend inside the writing staff at GH, Garin Wolf has a whole list of people he is going to be bringing back….. Wonder if our girl is one of them?

I know it’s been a while since I updated, but with both my health issues and my apartment issues, I just haven’t had access to my recording devices and such to get the updates done. I’m hoping over the weekend to start that process. What the problem has been is someone in the building did something that caused a problem within the building that has affected many other tenants including my unit. My partner an I had to move out while some things were done, however, nothing is fixed fixed. If you know what I mean? There will still be a lot of interruptions this week and over the weekend, I have to prepare my unit for those repairs to take place so I’ll be off and on. I do apologize for not having anything for you. I’m sure you understand…shit happens.

And a blind item I thought you’d like to see. I’ve posted it to the Forum so you’ll have to sign up there to view it. If you are, please use a REAL username. I’ve had so many spammers sign up that I’ve really had to knucle down on the sign up proceedure. Well, not sure what to think but according to internet buzz, Tamara is on her way back to GENERAL HOSPITAL….or not! According to a posting on ABC SOAPS IN DEPTH website it was a done deal. Now the post is gone and they’ve issued a retraction. Not sure what is going on but someone is up to some cyber hijinx. My hope? It’s true. I’d kill to see Tamara back as Carly.

UPDATE: Braun Not Headed Back To GH

UPDATE: According to a GH spokesperson, this is a false rumor and Braun is not headed back to GENERAL HOSPITAL.

Tamara Braun (ex-Reese, ALL MY CHILDREN; ex-Carly, GENERAL HOSPITAL) will be exiting DAYS OF OUR LIVES as Taylor in the coming months, and the Emmy winner already has her next gig lined up: multiple sources confirm to Soaps In Depth that she’s returning to GH!

Rest assured, Laura Wright fans. We hear that Carly’s current portrayer is in no danger of being replaced by her predecessor. Rather, Braun will be playing a new character when she returns to Port Charles this fall!

Of course, this won’t be the first past Carly to come back in the form of a new character. Sarah Joy Brown, who originated the role in 1996 before Braun took over in 2001, stepped into the stilettos of Claudia Zacchara in 2008. And Braun already has experience in playing a different character on a soap she’s already called home: Prior to her current DAYS gig, the actress played Ava for 6 months in 2008, even winning a Supporting Actress Emmy for her performance!
