Well, I just got through watching the day-ahead episode of Tamara’s final day on DOOL and I can tell you, they did not kill her off. Taylor lives and has gone off into the Bollywood sunset with Quinn (Bren Foster), Vivian (Louise Sorel) and the newly returned Ivan (Ivan G’Vera). Apparently Ivan is a producer in the lucrative Bollywood film industry and he returned to Salem to reclaim his Madam, Vivian. He has a private plane and along with Ms. Alamain, he’s taking Quinn and Taylor off with him. So Taylor has survived. I have to say, this farewell was way better than Tamara’s first go around as Ava. There is the chance Taylor might return, though considering this so-called ‘new’ path Ken Corday is taking this show on, I doubt it. I think the capper on this departure had to be the final scene Tamara as Taylor had with James Reynolds (Abe Carver). I’ve loved James since I first saw him as Abe back in the 80s, and to have her final scene be with him was sublime but bittersweet. I still think this reboot Corday has launched is a bit premature. All the exits in one fell swoop is a bit too much and to lose such a talent as Tamara is too big a hit. As of tomorrow’s actual NBC network airing, it’ll be my last for DAYS OF OUR LIVES. It’s been a good run, however, Tamara’s presence made the show watchable and for me her final day tomorrow means I’m done. In the coming days I’ll try to get her final months of episodes up in the gallery and in the media section. With not having to record each day it’ll be easier. I also really want to clear all the rough clips off my computer to make some room. So all I can say is this, for all my visitors, stop by Tamara’s TWITTER page and leave her a tweet or two about how much she’ll be missed. I will be doing it right now. Hope to see you soon Tamara. HELP!!!! Okay, a bit too dramatic I know, but appropos. I need some help from my visitors with some of Tamara’s airdates. What I need is the last part of July and all of August and September. I ran afoul of my PVR and it didn’t record some of her appearances. So if anyone could post her dates or email me at nowordneeded@yahoo.ca, that would be a big help. I have the first part of July all done, but … PVR … afoul … you know. Thanks to anyone who answers.
I just recently bought a new 40 inch large screen LCD television and have been making it an issue to revisit some of my favourite films in the larger format. One of the films I decided to watch was Tamara’s LITTLE CHENIER and may I say, it’s a masterpiece. It’s not on the grand scale as say Kubrick’s 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY, but it has the same elements in its ability to transform you to a place where as we all know, no longer survives. The film is beautifully shot and the acting is so understated and rich. Of course, Tamara shines as Marie-Louise LeBauve, a troubled woman torn between family honour and her heart for a man she truly loves. Tamara brings to Marie-Louise everything she can in terms of pain, love, devotion. She breaks my heart in this movie. Her scenes with the two men in Marie-Louise’s life encapsulate her as an actress. With Johnathon Schaech as Beaux Dupuis, Tamara shows her passion and heart as she loves with all her heart. With Jeremy Davidson as Carl LeBauve, Tamara shows her reserved side, her ability to say so much with so little movement and facial expression, everything emanating through her eyes. I think my only criticism about the film is with Carl LeBauve’s character. I hate him with a passion. Davidson is too good and giving us a true villian. He’s what I have called a malcontent. I think the end of the film is what would be classed as poetic justice. All in all, I love this movie. I’d put it up there with the likes of a film called SINNER with Nick Chinlund and SMOKE SIGNALS with Adam Beach, two very good films I recommend for the true film buff. I know it’s been a while since I updated, but with both my health issues and my apartment issues, I just haven’t had access to my recording devices and such to get the updates done. I’m hoping over the weekend to start that process. What the problem has been is someone in the building did something that caused a problem within the building that has affected many other tenants including my unit. My partner an I had to move out while some things were done, however, nothing is fixed fixed. If you know what I mean? There will still be a lot of interruptions this week and over the weekend, I have to prepare my unit for those repairs to take place so I’ll be off and on. I do apologize for not having anything for you. I’m sure you understand…shit happens.

I know I’ve not made updates for the past week, and I’m so terribly sorry for that. There’s been an emotional upheaval in my life and it’s caused my auto-immune disorder Fibromyalgia to rear its ugly head in force. There’s also some issues going on with my apartment building that isn’t helping in the least and that’s why I’ve been generally just checking messages and such. I hope to have updates done sometime next week. Please be patient. In the meantime, I’ve reactivated the TAMARA OBSCURA FORUM. You can find it at the link in the menu at the top of the page. One thing, if you’re going to sign up, please try to keep it as a name I recognize so that I can activate your subscription. I’ve had to keep the forum strictly moderated due to the amount of spam and bot signups that only are there to post porn or other insideous things that are hard to get rid of. I’ve had to strip the forum of at least 700 posts from porn sites and erection aids in order to scrub it clean. So that’s the skinny. I’m hoping the issue with my apartment settles itself soon. I really need som peace for a while.
